SMARTug’s low profile provides exceptional prop clearance for those larger single engine aircraft. Our SMARTug Model-M3A, is currently approved up to 10,000 lbs. GMOW aircraft with ongoing testing for aircraft up to and exceeding 12,500 lbs. GMOW. The SMARTug line operates on a secure, wireless frequency to prevent interference from random radio signals. Additionally, the control has a ‘Fail-safe Shutdown’ feature which will stops the vehicle should the signal from the hand-held remote be lost. MARTug is also engineered to minimize stresses to the nose gear via the highly engineered, Patent Pending drive system. This all electric vehicle is equipped with a heavy duty hydraulic system to gently lift and lower the aircraft nose gear providing added ground clearance for maneuvering as well as lowering the tail which provides added clearance under hanger door openings. SMARTech Ind. announced today that they have ongoing testing of a new device which will attach to the SMARTug Model-M3 and will safely maneuver aircraft with wheel pants and cantering NLG’s.  This device is designed to attach quickly and securely to the NLG using the same attachment points as the OEM tow handle.  Additionally, this device incorporates a durable polymer interface material that will not damage the fiberglass wheel pant.
